Anti Aircraft Operations rooms were located at various sites across the UK from the end of WWII into the cold war. They were used for plotting the locations of aircraft thought to pose a threat to UK airspace. This one has been abandoned since the 1960s and has been the victim of willful fire-raising
The entire building is no more than a concrete shell. There are no items left from its operational period. There is some evidence of re-development, although the work does appear to have slowed down or stalled in recent years. Research has shown that there are plans to convert it to a house, although it is not clear if this is still the intention.
