This location has been on our radar for quite some time and when we visited we were not disappointed. Even as a ruin, this 16th-century church is still stunning.
As we explored the location we could still see an incredible amount of detail in the masonry. One can only imagine how impressive it must have been in the period immediately after its construction.
The church is in an incredible location and has breathtaking views out over the river and surrounding countryside.
It is not every day you get to experience a location that looks like this. Not many ruins could be considered stunning but this was certainly one of those very rare occasions.
