Western Harbour Lighthouse – Leith

Western Harbour Lighthouse located near Leith in Edinburgh, is an abandoned and disused lighthouse close to the docks at Leith

The lighthouse is fairly small with very few original features remaining. There is a 2-stroke engine that was once used to drive the compressor that would have been used to operate the lighthouse horn. This engine may also have acted as a generator, but it is difficult to tell because sections of the assembly have been removed.

The lighthouse has not been used or occupied in decades and has been subject to damage and vandalism.
