Walkingshaw Gardens – Inchinnan
Walkishaw Gardens is all that remains of the once grand house called Walkinshaw House in Renfrewshire, Scotland. The gardens comprise a walled garden area and horse stables.
The main building (Walkinshaw House) was demolished in 1927 when the early RAF airbase was being constructed at Abbotsinch. The site of the RAF base later became Glasgow International Airport, and Walkinshaw Gardens falls outside the airport perimeter.
The area was also the site of a mining operation and a brickworks, although there is very little evidence left of this.
